So I've been studying. A lot. Having to do with art and realistic figure drawing, perspective, anatomy, all sorts of stuff. It's actually really interesting, now. I wish I had found this interesting 2-4 years ago...otherwise I'd be much farther ahead with my art, but I was very young. Found a few resources on here that have lead me to other resources that have lead me to more resources that have really been piecing things together really nicely. I'm surprisingly not confused. If there's something confusing I can easily identify what part of it is confusing and do some more research on that topic. Fill in the pieces and then move on to the next thing. It feels really productive.

I do feel like I should share them with you both as a place where I can put everything for me to find and as possibly a resource for you.

First, I found this in the forums. Understanding Anatomy [link] . It's a 6 or 7 part series, but the first one goes into proportions really well. The rest of it I found to be her favorite way of building the body, which I don't particularly like...only because I feel like I won't be able to stray away from the blocks and my people will turn out blocky...

I also have these from Andrew Loomis that the person from the last resource had suggested in the artist comments. [link] These are free downloads of his books btw. I've only gone through Figure Drawing For All It's Worth at the moment. I definitely plan on going through Drawing The Head And Hands eventually. But Figure Drawing goes through a short spurt of perspective that I kinda got lost on.

Then I found this to fill in the gaps on that. [link] This made the perspective of a person so much more clear to me. As well as making me feel more able to do backgrounds in pictures XD.

Loomis had suggested in Figure Drawing this book to clarify perspective a bit more, which I hope to get eventually because I find having physical resources a lot easier to manage than virtual resources. [link]

I've been using Figure Drawing For All It's Worth as my main book and using the other resources for comparison and fillers if that helps your process any. I encourage finding other resources too because it all helps you create your own style.

That's all I've gotten so far. I'll edit this later with more fillers and what not if I need them. But with just the beginning of these books and tutorials I've learned so much. It's exciting.
